Earn Money on Your Favorite Blog

Other people say, it's just easy to earn money from blogs. Well... NOT REALLY… because if you really want to earn on your blog, you have to exert effort at certain level.

This is because - 1) we are living in a very competitive world; 2) people give high regard to information that can help them or are useful to them; and 3) patience, hard work, determination and resourcefulness is needed to succeed.

How then can you exactly earn from your blogs?

1) Publish helpful or useful information. Some information is useful for certain people, only for a particular period of time. These kinds of information, however, need regular updating. Examples are the results of the American Idol competition, sports like football and basketball, and the lottery. On the other hand, some information retain demands for a long time and do not really call for regular updating. Examples are those that are related to self-improvement, earning strategies, baking and cooking, homemaking tips, academic knowledge, and the like.

In simple economics, you have to match the market’s demands with appropriate and sufficient supply. Whatever, maybe your choice of content, you must bear in mind that you have to match it with what the public really need.

2) Market your blog. After peppering your blog with useful content. You need to apply some of your marketing skills to start earning money. First make sure, to put a catchy title for your blog. Think of a title that you perceived to be interesting for most people, i.e., Earn from Articles, 2008 Olympics, Americal Idol, and the like. Second, pick the URL address of your blog carefully. Choose a URL name that has a high probability of being searched. Third, sign-up at payperpost.com, payu2blog.com, reviewme.com, these sites will pay you for your blog. Fourth, sign-up with google.com/adsense, adbrite.com, and bidvertiser.com to monetize your blog views. Fifth, create an account with helium.com and ezinearticles.com, you can use these sites to promote your blog to thousands of readers and writers. Write quality articles and advertise your blog to your visitors.

3) Manage risks. Risk is everywhere. It is already a part of our daily living. We cannot eliminate risks but we can live with them. To live with risks is to live managing risks. How then can we manage risks in our blogs?

First, we need to identify what are the risks involve. These include viewership, advertisement and monetization.

Second, we have to analyze the risks. If you want to earn from your blog you have to attract lots of daily visitors and subscribers. Burn your blog url at feedburner.com and make subscribing to your blog easy by putting the "subscribe" icon in the most visible place of your site. Feeds make your blog contents accessible to the world by converting the format of your contents in compatible forms for the different browsers that the people are using. You can also keep track of your visitors' activities, specifically regarding your blog posts that they like best.

Five thousand viewers a week means more money than only five hundred viewers or worse no viewers at all, aside from you.
